Project Coordinator
•As Project Coordinator, you will support the Project Manager to ensure that tasks and work packages within McLaren Applied Technologies projects are tracked and delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard.
•You will work across multidisciplinary teams to coordinate the delivery of both internal product development, and customer projects. There are no direct reports or budgetary responsibility however you will be responsible for elements of the project budget for active projects.
•You will support the Project Manager in the creation and presentation of reports defining project progress, exceptions and solutions.
•You will be responsible for day-to-day planning, tracking, reporting and internal communication.
•You will support the final stages of pre-sales activities to ensure that the project scope, goals, methodologies, deliverables and business case have been appropriately defined.
•Together with the Project Manager and Technical Lead, you will ensure that the customer requirements for the project are fully understood and managed and ensure the project and deliverables are well understood by all relevant team members.
•You will engage in customer stakeholder management for the project.
•You will develop and maintain appropriate project and product release plans.
•You will create monthly reports defining project progress, exceptions and solutions.
•Active facilitation of process for risks, issues and opportunity management.

•Have a engineering or science degree qualification or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
•Possess a combination of strong commercial and engineering acumen with relevant experience.
•Have an understanding of project management best practice and product development methodologies such as concurrent engineering and agile development.
•Understand the technical deliverables to a sufficient level to engage in discussions covering scope, requirements, prioritisation and issue identification.
•Have experience in a development environment with project management tools and software such as collaboration sites, MS Office, MS project and enterprise resource planning tools
•Have excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills; a strong negotiator and influencer both internally and externally, facilitation and organising skills are important within the role
•You understand the big picture while managing the important details as required.
•Are used to decision making, using analytical/problem solving skills/techniques
•A good knowledge and application of methods, tools and applications in a high-tech Engineering business a distinct advantage.
•The ability to support a multi-disciplined team through a product creation process to deliver safe and effective products is vital.
