IT Project Manager

As an IT Project Manager you will be working in a client facing role across a range of industries focused on defining, shaping and implementing projects for large or complex organisations. As a Project Manager your goal is work with the programme manager, project stakeholders and your team to ensure that the project's objectives are met and that the client is delighted with the outcome. We are interested in hearing from people with cross domain experience within; Energy and Insurance, underpinned by a core Project Management capability. Responsibilities: •Support the project initiation, including key document sets e.g. Project Brief •Lead the planning and implementation of project •Facilitate the definition and agreement of project scope, goals and deliverables •Define project tasks and resource requirements •Develop full scale project plans •Assemble and coordinate project staff •Manage project budget •Manage project resource allocation •Plan and schedule project timelines •Track project deliverables using appropriate tools •Provide direction and support to project team •Create, update and monitor the RAID log •Facilitate and ensure high level of quality assurance across the project lifecycle •Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders •Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs •Project evaluations and assessment of results •Support and coach the project team to deliver high quality outputs Qualifications: Desired Skills & Experience •Qualification in project management or equivalent (PMP, Prince 2, APMP) •Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management •Knowledge and interest in project management e.g. Lean, Scrum •Direct work experience in project management capacity •Experience of at least two full project lifecycle projects •Experience in people management / risk management / change management •Proficient in project management software tools •A background in consultancy would be an advantage •SalesForce - SAAS / Cloud / PAAS •Big Data - Managing and analysing / Big Data in the cloud - AWS •Digital PMs - Digital Transformation / Mobile PM •Specialist - Regulatory framework: FCA, Basel III, AIFMD – Alternative Investment Funds Management Directive •Others … Customer Transformation Customer Experience Customer Lifecycle management / journey etc Omnichannel – retail / gambling – mobile / web / stores Qualifications  •PMP/Prince 2 / APMP certification required or equivalent •Additional qualifications e.g. MSP, or domain e.g. CII, desirable •3-5 years’ experience in a Project Manager roles •Lean Six Sigma qualification advantageous   Benefits  •Opportunity - The opportunity to work independently on tasks for challenging, international projects within a successful team and with a high degree of personal freedom in your role. •Challenges - A constant stream of new challenges within a consultancy firm renowned for its forward-looking methods and technologies. •Career progression - A dedicated career path designed to challenge you and further your knowledge in specialist consulting •Training - Extensive training to develop your skills •Benefits - such as a 25 days holiday, pension, private healthcare, mobile phone, laptop, family days and regular social events.
