Dental Practice Manager London,
We are looking to recruit a Heath Service Manager who will oversee the day-to-day management of the practice and who will ensure that statutory procedures are followed. They will have responsibility for a team of 130 staff located at 6 sites in London (Battersea, West Wickham, Northolt and Edgware).
The role requires a high level of expertise and proven experience of working with practice staff, other healthcare professionals and patients/private clients. The successful applicant will be an experienced Practice Manager with excellent organizational and leadership skills, knowledge of general healthcare and all aspects of dentistry, orthodontic, Periodontics, Sedation and Dental implants/ Oral Surgery. Due to the nature of the role, the HSM must expect to be on call in case of an emergency and be willing to work unsociable hours, late nights during the week with weekends being mandatory. Flexibility and a willingness to work across all areas of the practice is required.
Responsibilities
•Liaising with clinical, medical and professional staff
•Developing services and implementing changes
•Meeting with staff and Health Care professionals
•Directing, coordinating and administering medical and non-medical resources, facilities and services
•Generate detailed reports using Exact SOE (software of excellence) and Dental Edge
•Dealing with complaints or problems to the standards of the NHS and GDC
•ensuring services meet national standards
•gather and analyse data, plan and manage both projects and systems
•manage clinical, professional and administrative staff
•implement new policies and directives
•manage the recruitment, selection, appraisal and development of staff
•liaise and negotiate with medical and non-medical staff (often at the most senior levels) and with people in external organisations, e.g. social services, voluntary groups or the private sector
•work towards ensuring quality and value for money for patients
•extrapolate data for quality assurance and monitoring purposes
•set budgets and maintain finances within tight constraints
•plan and implement strategic changes to improve service delivery
•organise dental clinical governance and audits
•sit on committees and represent the views of departments and teams
•support ICT systems and plan new provision and development, sometimes for major projects.
•Oversee the CQC inclusive of compliance, policies & human resources.
Required:
•Working knowledge of SOE and Dental Edge and Microsoft office
•Experience or working in NHS and Private dentistry
Conditions of Employment
•Working hours are between Monday to Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday- Sunday 9am to 2pm – flexible approach to working hours is required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £29,500 pa
