Our client is requiring a Junior Project Manager to join their team to be based in London.
Responsibilities:
* Reports to the Senior Project Manager
* The role involves interacting and working with members of senior management, the Business Implementation Team, other project managers and project teams on a regular basis.
* Based in London with significant liaison and team-working with the operations, systems and project management teams in South Africa.
Outputs/Accountabilities
* Manages small and medium sized projects on a day to day basis, tracking progress against deliverables defined in the project plan and escalating issues when necessary
* Drafts scope documents, sets project deliverables, identifies risks, issues & dependencies for projects where they are the lead PM
* Arranges and leads project meetings, tracks and communicates project changes where they are the lead and follows up on actions set
* Helps the Senior Project Manager with monitoring and reporting issues, risks & dependencies across programmes
* Carries out post project analysis and reporting
* Assists the Senior Project Manager in managing the UK PMO through minute taking, document tracking, arranging project and programme meetings, and project documentation management
* Assists the Senior Project Manager with managing the UK led programmes, producing reports and tracking initiatives from inception through to delivery
Regulatory Responsibilities:
You are required to understand and comply with all relevant rules, regulation and legislation applicable to your role. This means:
* Acting with integrity and due skill, care and diligence at all times.
* Ensuring that customers are treated fairly at all times
* Ensuring that communications via any medium meet the principle of ‘clear, fair and not misleading’
* Undertaking relevant internally arranged training on systems, processes and regulatory requirements relevant to your role
* Identifying and escalating (through your line manager) risks that impact the business, customers or other third parties
* Reporting (through your line manager) any issues and/or system/process failures that may impact on service to customers

Knowledge / Skills / Experience required
* Graduate
* Knowledge of project management processes, techniques or methodology is preferable, though not a requirement.
Skills – vital
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
* Great organisational skills is a necessity
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
* Excellent team-working skills
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite
* Good planning, monitoring & reporting skills
Experience
* At least four years’ experience of working in a business environment is required, preferably financial services
