Description :
Health and safety officer is to create and implement health and safety policies in accordance with the latest legislation and to ensure that these policies are implemented by management and employees.
The Health & Safety Officer will develop and implement the Health & Safety policy and management arrangements to ensure all working practices are safe. The Health & Safety Officer will conduct risk assessments and reviews, and Manual Handling and develop subsequent safe systems of work.
The Health, Safety & Environment Officer will manage the training matrix for all employees to ensure training needs are met, from induction to safe working practices to developmental learning.
The Health, Safety & Environment Officer will develop and maintain the company’s ISO standards ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
The Health & Safety Officer will complete regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance
with HSE requirements and draw up corrective action plans to address identified non-compliance.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Health and Safety Officer you must have 1 years Health & Safety experience
in a similar role, preferably within Manufacturing or Engineering. You will be NEBOSH certified and be a competent professional with a sound working knowledge of HSE legislation and handling health and safety issues.
